Research & Development (R&D)

TUGPINS is a hands-on company with a passion for Research and Development. We continuously seek to develop new products and better solutions for anchor handling and towing. By doing so we aim to further improve deck safety, enhance sustainability, increase the uptime of our clients’ vessels and maximize the profitability of their operations.

Innovation is at the very core of our business. Our multidisciplinary Research and Development team has a background in technical engineering, product design and instrument-making and plenty of experience in the towing and anchor handling business. These in-house skills and qualifications – in combination with a fully equipped workshop for prototyping, assembly and testing of new designs and concepts – enable us to create a concept and turn it into an excellent product.

Some of our innovations

Our patented TUGPINS Watertight Plus system for towing pins and stoppers is one of our latest innovations. Another one of our innovative developments is our modular design for shark jaws and towing pins, which makes maintenance and repair work so much easier.
